Email and Document Assembly (Mail Merge)

WordFusion integrates the document assembly (mail merge) engine with your email software. WordFusion supports all MAPI compliant programs such as Outlook and Outlook express and in addition provides support for Lotus Notes. This functionality allows the user to run the document assembly (mail merge) process and assemble a document or all documents in a folder and attach them to a customized email message. The email body is based on a document template and may contain merged data (information entered into the form) as well as any formatting available in your word processor. The document(s) created from the document assembly (mail merge) process are automatically attached to the email ready for sending.

Benefits
• Consistent content and formatting of email body for each document / folder of documents (document pack)
• Email body is assembled using the fully featured WordFusion document assembly (mail merge) engine
• Simple integrated process for assembling and emailing documents
• Supports all MAPI client software (Outlook, Outlook express, Eudora etc)
• Support Lotus Notes

Each Form can have its own custom email template set during design time by using the "EmailTemplate" property of the form. To set the "EmailTemplate" property use the property window as shown below.

If the "EmailTemplate" property of the form has not been set then the document assembly (mail merge) engine looks to see if there is a document called EmailBodyTemplate.dot in the folder where the Form was saved to. If the document assembly (mail merge) engine finds this document then it is used to create the custom email body.

To assemble an Email in WordFusion open a form in "Fill In" mode, fill in the information required by the form and select the "File>Email" menu item or select the email button from the Assemble toolbar button shown below.
